1. Introduction & acceptance
In plain English:These are the rules of using MyPanditji. Open the app or the website and you have agreed to them.
Welcome to MyPanditji ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MyPanditji website, mobile applications, and any related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise accessing the Service you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. MyPanditji is an AI-powered Vedic astrology platform offering Kundli generation, daily horoscope, Panchang, Muhurat, matchmaking, Vastu, numerology, tarot, palm and face reading, dream interpretation, and a multi-mode chat with an AI Pandit. All of these features are interpretive in nature and subject to the Disclaimer at section 6.
2. Eligibility & accounts
In plain English:You must be 18+ to use the paid tiers. Keep your login safe. Don’t pretend to be someone else.
You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction to enter a binding contract and at least 18 years of age to use the paid tiers of the Service. By creating an account you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate, current and complete. If you are creating an account on behalf of another person, you confirm that you have their authority to do so. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential. Notify us immediately at support@mypanditji.io if you suspect any unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate any account that, in our reasonable assessment, has been compromised, misused, or registered with materially inaccurate information.
3. Subscriptions & billing
In plain English:Free tier is free, premium tiers are paid up-front. Cancel any time — your access lasts until the period ends.
MyPanditji offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers (currently Pro and Max). Free-tier features include Kundli generation, daily horoscope, Panchang, the Normal chat mode, streaks and numerology. Paid features include Deep Research, Max Council, Check Your Pandit, and quota expansions on supported features. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Mobile purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to those platforms’ own terms and refund policies. Web purchases are processed through Stripe. All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise at checkout. We may change pricing at any time; price changes affect new billing cycles only and we will give at least 30 days’ notice in-product for existing subscribers.
4. Refunds
In plain English:We follow the platform you bought on. Apple and Google handle their own refunds. Web (Stripe) follows our /refund page.
Refund eligibility depends on where you purchased your subscription: • Apple App Store — governed by Apple’s refund policy. Submit refund requests via reportaproblem.apple.com. • Google Play Store — governed by Google Play’s refund policy. • Web (Stripe) — governed by our Refund Policy at /refund. If you believe you were billed in error, contact support@mypanditji.io within 30 days of the charge. We will investigate and, where appropriate, work with the platform to issue a refund.
5. Acceptable use
In plain English:Use the app for your own use. No scraping, no abusive content, no trying to harm the service or other users.
Your use of the Service is governed by the Acceptable Use Policy at /acceptable-use, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In summary you agree not to: • Use automated means to access, scrape, or download any portion of the Service. • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, model weights, or proprietary data. • Submit content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes another person’s rights. • Use the Service to make decisions where you owe a regulated professional duty to another person (medical, legal, financial, psychological). • Resell, rebrand, or commercially exploit the Service or its outputs without our written consent. Violating the Acceptable Use Policy may lead to throttling, suspension or termination, at our discretion.
6. AI predictions — important disclaimer
In plain English:Readings are interpretive and for guidance. Never use them in place of a doctor, lawyer, accountant, or therapist.
MyPanditji generates interpretive content using AI models trained on classical Vedic Jyotish Shastra, Samudrik Shastra, numerological systems, and tarot tradition. While we work to ground each reply in cited primary sources, no astrologer — human or AI — can predict the future with certainty. You acknowledge that: • All readings are for informational, spiritual, and entertainment purposes. • Readings are not, and must not be treated as, medical, psychiatric, legal, financial, tax, accounting, or any other regulated professional advice. • In emergencies — medical, mental-health, or safety — contact the appropriate professional or emergency service in your country immediately; do not rely on the Service. • You assume full responsibility for any decision you take in reliance on a reading. The full Disclaimer is available at /disclaimer.
7. Your content & the licence you grant us
In plain English:Anything you put in — birth details, photos, chat — stays yours. We only use it to run your account.
You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service, including birth details, palm or face photographs, chat messages, journal entries, and saved readings ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content you grant MyPanditji a limited, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, transmit, display and process Your Content solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service for you. This licence ends when Your Content is deleted from our systems, except to the extent we are required to retain it under section 11 (Termination) or by applicable law. We do not sell Your Content. We do not use Your Content to train third-party models. We do not share Your Content with advertisers — we run none.
8. Intellectual property
In plain English:The app, the logo, the codebase, and our system prompts are ours. The classical Sanskrit texts are public-domain. The readings the AI generates for you are licensed to you for personal use.
All rights, title and interest in and to the Service — including the website, mobile applications, brand marks, logos, system prompts, agent definitions, software source code, our knowledge-base infrastructure, the curated text annotations, and any UI artwork — remain the exclusive property of MyPanditji and its licensors. The underlying classical Sanskrit and regional source texts are in the public domain; our annotations, chunking, embedding indices, and English glosses are not. Readings, charts, citations and AI-generated content produced for your account are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use, including the right to save, print, or share screenshots. You may not redistribute the readings at scale, train a competing model on them, or remove attribution.
9. Third-party services & links
In plain English:We use Anthropic for AI, Supabase for data, Fly.io for the astro engine, Stripe / Apple / Google for payments. They have their own terms.
The Service depends on third-party providers, including but not limited to: • Anthropic — large-language-model inference (Claude Opus / Sonnet / Haiku). • Supabase — database, authentication, storage and edge functions. • Fly.io — the astro-engine compute (Swiss Ephemeris). • Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Stripe — payment processing. • Email and analytics infrastructure. These providers each have their own terms of service and privacy policies. Where the Service links to or embeds third-party websites or content, MyPanditji is not responsible for those third-party materials and your use of them is at your own risk.
10. Beta & experimental features
In plain English:Anything marked Beta or Preview can break or vanish without warning. Use it knowing that.
From time to time we make features available on a Beta, Preview, Early Access or similar label. Beta features are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, may change or be withdrawn at any time, and may have known and unknown issues. Feedback you provide on Beta features may be used by us to improve the Service without further obligation to you.
11. Suspension & termination
In plain English:You can leave any time. We can suspend an account for fraud, abuse, or repeated violations.
You may terminate your account at any time through Settings → Account or by contacting support. On termination, paid subscriptions remain active through the end of the current billing period; we do not pro-rate refunds for partial periods unless required by law. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law; if your account is implicated in fraud or chargebacks; or if continued service would expose us to legal liability. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including sections 6 (Disclaimer), 7–9, 12–16, and 18.
12. Indemnity
In plain English:If you break the rules and that gets us sued, you cover our costs.
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless MyPanditji and its officers, employees, contractors and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (i) your breach of these Terms or any policy referenced in them; (ii) your violation of applicable law or the rights of any third party; (iii) Your Content; or (iv) decisions you take in reliance on the Service in violation of section 6 (Disclaimer).
13. Warranty disclaimer
In plain English:The app is provided as-is. We don’t guarantee it’s always up, always right, or fits your specific situation.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE OR THAT ANY READING IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE OR RELIABLE. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties; in those jurisdictions the above exclusions apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
14. Limitation of liability
In plain English:Our maximum liability to you is capped at what you’ve paid us in the last 12 months.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MYPANDITJI AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. In no event shall our total cumulative liability to you for all claims relating to the Service exceed the greater of (a) the amount you have paid to MyPanditji in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) one hundred Indian Rupees (INR 100).
15. Force majeure
In plain English:If something outside our control breaks the service — outage, natural disaster, regulatory order — it’s not a breach.
Neither party will be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations (other than the obligation to pay amounts due) to the extent caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, cyber-attack, war, terrorism, civil unrest, governmental orders, labour disputes, or failure of public utilities, internet service providers, or third-party platforms we depend on.
16. Dispute resolution
In plain English:Talk to us first. If we can’t resolve it, India-seated arbitration before courts.
Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, you agree to contact us at support@mypanditji.io with a detailed description of the dispute, and to allow us 30 days to attempt good-faith resolution. Any dispute not resolved through good-faith negotiation shall be finally resolved by arbitration administered under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 of India. The seat and venue of arbitration shall be New Delhi, India. The arbitration shall be conducted in English by a sole arbitrator appointed under the said Act. The award shall be final and binding on the parties. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking interim or injunctive relief from a competent court to protect intellectual property or confidential information.
17. Governing law & jurisdiction
In plain English:These Terms are governed by Indian law. Courts at New Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction (subject to the arbitration clause above).
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Subject to section 16 (Dispute resolution), the courts at New Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any matter arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
18. Severability, assignment & entire agreement
In plain English:If a court strikes one clause, the rest still hold. You can’t hand your account to someone else without our OK. These Terms are the whole agreement.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights or obligations under them, in whole or in part, without our prior written consent. Any purported assignment in violation of this section is void. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of substantially all our assets. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Acceptable Use Policy, the Refund Policy, the Disclaimer, the Cookie Policy and any in-product notices, constitute the entire agreement between you and MyPanditji regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
19. Changes to these Terms
In plain English:We can update these Terms. If it’s a material change, you get 30 days’ notice in-product.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will give at least 30 days’ notice through the Service (in-product banner, email or both) before the new Terms take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept the revised Terms, your remedy is to stop using the Service and cancel any active subscription.
